New York City Waterfalls

This year there will be a temporary display of public art from artist Olafur Eliasson. The art will consist of 4 waterfalls located in Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, Governors Island, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The display will take place from mid-July to mid-October 2008. The waterfalls will be 90 to 120-foot tall and will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, and will be lit after sunset. The exhibit is expected to give a big boost to the tourist season.
