Here is a great attraction for the entire family. With more than 45 permanent exhibits the museum takes up nearly 4 city blocks on New Yorks Upper West Side. Be sure to check out the dioramas, located throughout the museum, one of the most popular exhibits at the Museum. The most famous exhibit is probably the museums fossil halls, including the dinosaur halls and the world's largest collection of vertebrate fossils, but the Rose Center for Earth and Space is worth the trip alone.
The new Space Show, Cosmic Collisions is now showing, at the Hayden Planetarium in the Rose Center for Earth and Space. Viewers will witness the violent face of our Sun, imaged by NASA satellites, that produces enormous ejections of material from our star towards our planet. Other attraction include the IMAX theater, The Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, Anne and Bernard Spitzer Hall of Human Origins, and the Arthur Ross Hall of Meteorites.
