Located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan the Central Park Zoo is the perfect escape from the city jungle. From a steamy rain forest to an icy Antarctic penguin habitat, the zoo leads visitors through tropic, temperate and polar regions to encounter fascinating animals. The Tisch Children's Zoo, lets little animal lovers meet gentle creatures up close. Year-round education classes and innovative public programs, including the zoo's "Wildlife Theater". It encourage all ages to learn more about our natural world, and become involved in its protection. The zoo is actively involved in helping endangered species, including rare tamarin monkeys, Wyoming toads, thick-billed parrots, and red pandas.

The Central Park Zoo is open 365 days a year! Current Hours (NovemberMarch): Daily 10:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Admission:
Adults: $6.00 Children (3-12): $2.00 Seniors (65+): $2.25
Children under 3 years are always free! Last ticket sold 30 minutes prior to closing.
Directions:
BY SUBWAY BMT Line, N or R train to Fifth Avenue stop, walk north 4 blocks to 64th Street. Lexington Avenue #6 train to 68th Street/Hunter College Station, walk west 3 blocks to Fifth Avenue, then 4 blocks south.
BY BUS M1,2,3,4 on Fifth Avenue to 64th Street.
