The Morgan has rare materials as well as important music manuscripts, a fine collection of early children's books and manuscripts, and materials from the twentieth century (as well as earlier periods). Pierpont Morgan's immense holdings ranged from Egyptian art to Renaissance paintings to Chinese porcelains.
Be sure to visit the web site events calendar for exhibitions, the institution offers a wide variety of musical performances, lectures, readings, and video presentations.
Hours:
The Morgan Library & Museum and the Morgan Shop are open Tuesday through Thursday: 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday: 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Morgan closes at 4 p.m. on Christmas and New Year's Eve. Closed Monday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
