Visitor Information:
The New York City Fire Museum has the countrys most important collections of artifacts and art from the late 18th century to the present. Collections include painted leather buckets, helmets, parade hats and belts, lanterns and tools, pre Civil War hand pumped fire engines, horse drawn vehicles and early motorized apparatus.
Hours:
The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM and on Sunday from 10:00AM to 4PM. We are closed every Monday and major holidays (New Years Day, Easter Sunday, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).
Admission:
Suggested prices for general admission to the Museum are as follows: Adults $5 Seniors/Students $2 Children under 12 $1
Directions:
Via Public Transportation To reach the Museum by subway, take the C or E train (8th Avenue Local) to Spring Street. Walk west 1 blocks. Alternatively, take the 1 or 9 train to Houston Street. Walk south along Varick Street for 4 blocks (To Spring St.) Walk west block. To reach the Museum via bus, take the M10 or M21 to Spring Street.
