The Whitney Museum houses one of the world's foremost collections of 20th Century American art. The Permanent Collection of some 12,000 works includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and photographs. The Whitney holds the world's largest collection of Edward Hopper's art, and contains over 2,500 oil paintings. The Museum's Marsh collection is includes nearly 200 works in all media, among them a number of the artist's best-known paintings. Other featured artists include Marsden Hartley, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Agnes Martin.
Family Programs at the Whitney use the Museum's collection and exhibitions for learning through a variety of interactive tours and activities.
