Best places to stay near Times Square:
Midtown West Neighborhood hotels are a good choice for anyone who wants to be located central to the Times Square Theater District. Below 42nd Street is the Residence Inn, a hotel featuring large rooms with kitchenettes including full-size fridge, microwave and sink. This is a good family pick located close to Bryant Park. It is near the Shubert, Booth, Belasco, Majestic, Foxwoods, and New Amsterdam Theater.
Two of the highest rated online choices for this area are the Distrikt, between 7th and 8th Ave, and the Casablanca near Bryant Park.
A few blocks up is the trendy Night Hotel, a small hip spot located on 45th Street. Moving up 7th Ave, is the Sheraton hotel at Times Square, the hotel features a 50 ft indoor pool that is great if you're traveling with kids. Theaters in this area include Winter Garden Theater, Oneil, Longacre, Gershwin, Studio 54, and Neil Simon. Nearby the Rockefeller Center Hotel offers the perfect location close to Radio City, St. Patrick's, and more Broadway Theaters. The most expensive of the hotels in this area will be along Central Park South, Essex, Ritz, Park Lane, and of course the Plaza. For a great value we like the London NYC located just a few blocks below. If you prefer a boutique hotel with larger rooms, look no further than the Blakely, just a few blocks off the park, this a good alternatve to some of the more expensive hotels on Central Park South. |
